According to the CDC, 44% of high school students reported feeling persistently sad or hopeless in 2021. We teach teens that profound peace comes from trusting God's plan for our lives. Even in the darkest times, we can hope in the promise that we will live in heaven with our Lord. Professional mental health care is critical, and we encourage teens to seek help when needed.
Adolescents actively redefine their identities by searching for answers to questions such as, "Who am I?" "Where do I belong?" and "Who do I belong with?" Only 51% of teens feel like they belong at their school. We build a welcoming community by organizing social activities, service, prayer, and formation.
Four out of Five teens lack a sense of purpose in life. We are all called to serve others. We provide community service opportunities in the hope that teens will discover the joy that comes from serving others in Christ's name.
Adolescence has always been turbulent; it is especially difficult for teens now. Christian values are becoming less common, and modern teens must navigate many conflicting influences as they grow into adults. As a core team, we accept the teens that come to us, whoever they are. We strive to love teens where they are while still proclaiming the good news. We challenge teens to accept Church teaching and discover the freedom that comes from living according to God's plan for us.
